I was planning to go to Liberia when I graduate, my school has a Model African Union and we have been Liberia for the past 5 years( this is our last year). I had to study it and find it facinating. We went to the Embassy in D.C. and met a few people from there. Did you know the first female elected head of state is currently president of Liberia? She ( and 2 other women) are Nobel Peace prize winners? Liberia, the country, was founded by former enslaved people. The fact that we are sending the experimental cure ( for Ebola) is kind of a bittersweet pill to swallow. Hope that it can reduce the deaths and get the country back on track.
