I was playing an internet scrabble-ish game last night with a man whose picture/name was obviously Islamic. If I had any doubt, his word choices (which I had to click on just to verify they were indeed words!) all had reference to that culture. After he posted several words - Kalam, Allah, Quran, etc. - and my words only consisted of of, box, and hen - I studied my letters, and shuffled, and studied some more. I took the m from Kalam, and was able to form the word Muslims. He played another (again unknown to me) word using the l in my word. I looked at the letters I had, and wanted, so badly, to utilize the last s in Muslims. I contemplated as to whether or not I should really play the word that was SCREAMING out to me. Yes, I could have used the l in Kalam, but I chose to use the s in Muslims. My 3 letters were u,c, and k. When I pushed send, I felt like Bruce Willis in Armageddon, pushing the button one last time...Yes I did...true story. (They are probably using my photo, as we speak, for target practice in their training camps.) :/
