I was playing golf with Mike at Westview, back in the summer of 1985, I believe. Neither of us were very good then, but we were having fun. On hole number 10, I was in the fairway, looking to hit into the green, and Mike was about 40 yards away, at about a 45 degree angle from the hole from me. Well, I shanked it and hit a line drive, and didnt even have a chance to yell Fore! before it hit Mike right in the side of the head, and he dropped like he was shot. Felt like skulking off like Bill Murray in Caddyshack, but I ran over to him and revived him. Id like to say he shook it off and we finished the round, but that was a heck of a shot, and we went home and put some ice on it. Come to think of it, I never played golf with Mike again. Ill miss my best high school friend.
