I was pleased to see that the State Education Department released half of the 2014 standardized math and english test questions. Those of you involved in education realize that I authored the first truth in testing legislation beginning with the SAT exam. Currently, I have legislation pending to compel the Education department to be more open with common core testing as well. The issues concerning high-stakes testing, it’s impact on our children and ultimately, on how to fairly evaluate teachers, are paramount for a proper education. Parents have a right to know their children are being tested in a fair and accurate way.
