I was propositioned by a pastor out of town to come and pastor his church. I was recommended by a pastor here in Memphis. I considered the idea & prayed about it. I went and preached at the church & talked with its pastor. After careful consideration & prayer, GOD gave me confirmation even the more that New Salem Fellowship is my blessed assignment. Several years ago, I divorced my wife, Renita Mattox. After a year of being divorced I married another woman. That relationship did not work out due to my HEAVY convictions that I did not deal rightly with the wife of my youth, Renita. Regardless of having everything a person could desire, I was miserable and tried to cover it up but eventually, I could not go against the convictions of my heart & divorced again and walked away from the Big house, cars, cash etc. No matter what I was given... This was the most unhappiest times of my life....I do not curse this and even tho I was judged greatly, I give GOD all the praise because after I divorced, I eventually returned to the wife of my youth.....I was given a second chance. Through my experiences, it gave me a DEEPER APPRECIATION for my wife & my family..... I said all of that to say this, my experience of even entertaining the idea of relocating out of town to pastor a larger church, a more lucrative situation, GOD begin to speak to me and showed me several things as I talked with the pastor and observed many things, ultimately coming to a decision that I am BLESSED BEYOND MEASURE TO BE THE CHIEF SERVANT AT NEW SALEM FELLOWSHIP! THROUGH WHAT I HAVE EXPERIENCED AND OBSERVED... I NOW HAVE A GREATER AND DEEPER APPRECIATION FOR THE CHURCH I SERVE. I LOVE YOU NEW SALEM FELLOWSHIP AND I THANK GOD FOR EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU & I HOPE TO BE EVEN A BETTER PASTOR IN THE FUTURE! I THANK GOD FOR THE PREACHERS THAT WANT TO SPEAK INTO MY LIFE AND TELL ME THAT YOU BELIEVE GOD HAS SOMETHING ELSE IN STORE FOR ME......BUT BELIEVE ME.... I HAVE THE GIFT OF DISCERNMENT & I TRY THE SPIRIT BY THE SPIRIT THERFORE PLEASE KEEP YOUR prophesies TO YOURSELF.....I TO HAVE THE SPIRIT OF GOD AND HOPE TO LET HIM LEAD AND GUIDE ME!!!!! BELIEVE ME.... I KNOW...THE ONLY REASON WHY THE GRASS IS GREENER ON THE OTHER SIDE IS BECAUSE ITS IMITATION TURF BUT IM STANDING ON AUTHENTIC TURF.... NEW SALEM FELLOWSHIP MINISTRIES.
