I was raised Roman Catholic...and by the time that I reached jr. high school, I was no longer a believer, mainly due to my interest in my education, primarily in history and biology, that led me to seriously question my religion..I dont believe that I ever truly had faith and thus I embarked upon a life long quest for knowledge and understanding of the Earth...the Solar System and everything...I was into palentology as a child...this might have been the spark that ignited by breaking away from religion, it was so long ago that some of the memories are a bit jumbled together. In my ever growing thirst for more and more accurate information about humanity, science, history and everything else I began self educating beyond the classroom and continued to ask questions and seek answers from others and from books...this led me to come to know both logic and reason and to reject any and all superstitious ignorance. The rest , as they say, is History. So it was that by the time 1973 rolled around I already knew that religions were nothing but a smoke and mirror carnival attraction and I left that noise behind me...thus I entered upon my lifes quest to both learn and share knowledge and information with other free thinking, like minded individuals. I am atheist, humanist and a citizen of the Planet!
