I was raised in a gated community Beyond the tall zinc fences me and my sibblings shows unity My mom the gate keeper, after eight close the gate You will have a problem coming home very late Security was very tight There were no escaping the beating after a brotherly fight You peep through the fence at the dusty marl street Only on sundays at church your friends you meet Our home duties we use to pay our taxes Not once did the chain on the gate relaxes I hated animals But the dog was my friend eternal We shared the same restriction Beyond the home prison fence we remained felons We need a way out So a hole below the fence was our escape route Many times we shared that path After which we need to take a bath I learned the street While my moms curfew time I continued to beat In that community we had no pool But the property manager had strict residential rules Other residents breaks the rule As the only exit permitted was going to school Then I saw those gated communities abroad They cant be compared with what we have a yaad
