I was raised in church but never knew relationship with the Lord till I was 17. Ive been thinking about what drew me to hunger for and come to know Jesus at a time in my life when I was as wild, rebellious, violent, and far from any visible clue that I was thinking about God as one can get. And I wonder to myself, how can I and how can the Body of Christ do better at focusing on living out the kinds of things about Jesus that grabbed hold of my heart in that darkness. I have alot of thoughts flowing along these lines and understand why the Jesus we often present to others is rejected---often times very very understandably so. I wouldnt (and didnt) leave my life for alot of the lies and junk of religion being preached and taught either. Mostly, Im working on me so please dont mistake this as being angry at or overly critical of anyone else.
