I was raised with a very defined narrative of Israel. The land of “Gods” people. For a lot of people, you might not understand the implications for Americans having this kind of narrative. We provide about 8.5 million dollars a day to aid Israel in their occupations of the Palestinian people, who receive ZERO dollars in aid, neither for protection or humanitarian purposes. The older, more informed I become, the more I find myself empathizing with this reality. As my soul speaks to me, I become more and more aware of the hypocrisy of this insanity. I believe our intention should always be peace. So when we take steps as a global community, its imperative that all the players participate. Weather you follow the Torah, Bible, or Quran, soul guiding interpretations will always lead you to peace. I believe this. This is part of the great commission. We are all connected through the grace of love, compassion, and forgiveness. This is still our emerging, new reality. Jesus was alleged to have brought this message about two thousand years ago and we still havent figured it out. I believe we live in an exciting time and I believe the future will be good. But I am also not naive. The world is really dangerous right now. We MUST stop killing each other. Our God demands it. We MUST take care of those weve displaced and persecuted. Our God demands it. We MUST build communities that quareentees justice, through individual expression and perspective. Our God demands it. There is a season for everything. Even revolution. And we havent seen real revolution yet. And Im pretty excited about it.
