I was reading a few comments on an article about Mike Brown and saw someone refer to black people as the blacks. Another person said Blacks in America are some of the worst bullies Ive ever seen. Their style of dress, their actions and even their speech is designed to intimidate yet they act so surprised when something like this happens. I felt like I was reading something from 1950. Mike Brown was referred to as just another black thug who got what he deserved. There was no remorse and no sense of value in the life that was taken. What was worse, was the blatant and ignorant referral to black people as bullies and black culture as intimidating. When my baby cousin grows up, he should be able to walk down the street without a police officer contemplating shooting him because he looks intimidating. If I ever have a son, I should not have to worry about whether or not a police officer is going to make a mistake and gun him down because he thought he was dangerous. No, I do not and will not ever accept that. These are not isolated incidents. This is a PATTERN. Open your eyes America. The stain of racism has not left us. I saw it right in front of my eyes today reading those comments to that article. God have mercy. Thats all I pray.
