I was reading a thread where there was discussion about Jodis possible mental conditions being adversely affected by her incarceration and lack of treatment. It was argued that this might account for her conflicting testimony and some of her questionable behavior. Its a good observation, in my opinion. If true, then what needs to happen is that Jodi undergo a complete and thorough psych evaluation to determine if there are unresolved issues that prevent Jodi from understanding the gravity of her situation and understanding that her attorneys are their to help. If Jodi believed that Travis was intent on killing her on June 4, and he wasnt, and now she believes that her attorneys dont have her best interests in mind, and they do, then doesnt it make sense that Jodi is delusional on some level and rather than be encouraged to represent herself, she needs to be protected from those delusions?
