I was reading article from Columbus dispatch. This article came out few days after the shooting in capital park when youth got into a fight and it accelerated into shooting and the bullet ended up hitting a young Somali girl who resided in capital park after the bullet went through the wall into their unit. The article mentioned how the police attempted to intervene so they may provide more security to these neighborhoods. It sad to hear what the police officials have said the the complaints of the Somalis were. The Somalis are saying theyre being attacked by non Somalis. The African American are targeting them and robbing them. I am thinking to myself what the hell. I hear comments some of us make that make us sound so racist towards our own brothers and sisters whom we share the same skin color. How the hell do we come to this mentality that only African Americans are targeting Somalis and the blacks are the only ones bringing destruction to the Somali community. The older folks feed these rubbish to their children when their children are the criminals. How the hell are we suppose to come together and provide peace to one another if we are so racist towards another black person. When you mentioned the downfalls of Somalis, youll have punch of people coming at you with nonsenses but these are the same individuals who instigate racism and hate towards those of the same color. Walaahi Somalis who think destruction, robbing, killing and the negative influence of their children come from only African American are completely blind to their surrounding.
