I was recently asked by a supplement rep was the 10 most common deficiencies were in my practice. Keep in mind I work with patients with seemingly incurable conditions. My answer baffled him. Here are my top 10 deficiencies in the chronically ill, not in any particular order. 1. Self worth 2. Exercise 3. Sleep 4. Sunshine 5. A positive mental attitude and self talk 6. A positive role model or accountability partner 7. Hope for the future 8. Belief that they could actually get better 9. A non-toxic environment (mental, spiritual, and chemical) 10. Connection with nature Not all disease is cured by handing people a bottle of supplements or a prescription for a medication. These 10 deficiencies are the foundation of a healthy lifestyle and need to be addressed before or in parallel to anything else that you might do. #becomeproof
