I was recently doing a group lecture and book signing when a gentleman raised his hand to ask me a question. I called upon him and he stood up. The man stared at me sternly, cleared his voice, and said, I dont have a question, I just wanted to meet you. I looked the man up and down, and wondered why this stranger would want to meet me. Suspiciously I replied, Thank you sir, and may I asked why you wanted to meet me. Still looking a bit angry, the man look over at the woman sitting next to him and said, I just wanted to meet the man who made my wife cry for three chapters. He looked back at me. I said nothing. He continued, You see, I dont ever like see my wife cry, but clearly your book touched her and I have to say that for a first time author, it tells me you are a very good writer. First of all sir, I apologize for making your wife cry I said, and thank you for not hitting me. The man smiled and sat down. As he did, he reached over to his smiling wife, took her hand in his, and he kissed her on the cheek.
