I was recently reading Nature Physics magazine/journal in the library of Bhabha Atomic Research Centre ( BARC ), Trombay , where i read an article which suggested a possibility that time could well not have a biased direction at all(that is forward)! We simply could be stuck in the dimension of time, just as we are limited by the constraints of three spatial dimensions ! By being stuck in time, I mean(actually the writer meant), that we have no choice but to flow with it, like a wooden log(us) in a flowing river(time dimension). But what if there was a witness(not sitting on the wooden log, but somewhere on the banks of the river). He would simply not be affected by the passing time (the flowing log), because he simply and literally will be out of time. As Alisha Arora would agree with me, When one sits in meditation, something similar happens, we come in that space, a certain dimension(not spatial dimension), where the mind stops perceiving time. And why does that happen? Lets see by pondering upon one thing. How do we perceive time? Time is what but the realization that thoughts are coming, the realization that there is something(our memory) with respect to which we are able to link ourselves with yes it happened a while ago. What if that memory and the mind slows its processes to almost an absolute zero(yes, it is possible, not theoretically but practically). Do you want to know how to do it?
