I was recently reading a news story about an American woman who converted to Islam and acquiesced to donning the burka. I wondered why any free, right-minded woman would willingly choose such an oppressive existence. But then I thought, “Be fair, Mark. There must be SOMETHING good about it.” So, I came up with a top ten list: Top Ten Burka Benefits or, alternatively, “Burka Bonuses”: 10. You never have to worry if your bra strap is showing. 9. No need to sort laundry; all of it can go in the same load (provided your washer is large enough for all of that fabric). 8. Saves soooo much time deciding what to wear in the morning. 7. “Bad hair” days are never an issue. 6. Feeling bloated? 5. You only need one driver’s license per vehicle, no matter how many female family members you have! 4. Unsightly blemishes? No problem! 3. You can go out and run errands with no makeup and not have to worry about running into someone you know (provided, of course, you are chaperoned at all times by at least one male family member). 2. ZERO panty lines. 1. Never having to ask, “Does this make my butt look big?”
