I was reminded of a time this morning when my sister and I were almost abducted when were in elementary school. While waiting for our parents, a stranger pulled up and said our dad couldnt come get us and asked him to pick us up from school. However, my dad had talked to us about these types of situations and we had a family password in place. When the man didnt know the password, he tried to bribe us to get in the truck, when we said no, he started to get out of his truck and we ran off to the office for help. Its scary to think what could have happened had we not been prepared. Just a reminder that these types of things are so important to educate our children about. Not out of fear, but out of wisdom and preparedness.
