I was reminded of something yesterday morning. We have an offering chest that we use sometimes when we receive the offering. The congregation brings their tithes & offerings forward and put them in the offering chest. Yesterday a young father brought his little girl with him to give their offering. She held the check in her hand and had a big smile on her face. She kept trying to pull away from her daddy & run to put their offering in the chest. 1st Corinthians says that God loves a cheerful giver. The word cheerful used there in the Greek is translated hilarious in English. God literally loves a hilarious giver. Statistics show church giving is in decline. Christians spend more on soft drinks than they give to the church. Many who do give give grudgingly. They lose any chance of being blessed because of their attitude. We dont have to act like that beautiful young girl, but our attitude needs to be like hers. Support your church. Rejoice that God has blessed you with income to tithe. He owns it all anyway.
