I was reminded of something yesterday working with 800hp and 1000 - TopicsExpress

I was reminded of something yesterday working with 800hp and 1000 hp turbo diesels. Most guys that you try and explain how engines burn fuel have their own background, and they know something-engines make near full power cold-diesel or gas. And that one fact makes engine explosions seem simple. But it did take from 1830 to 1880 to time 4 strokes, and that was only after a 2 stroke designer explained explosions are complicated. How complicated? So complicated one day they might not run through bad science. In the 1920s ship engine designers shifted over to diesels. But in cooler waters if the operating crew found themselves having to tune cooling water uptake-if the water too cold the engine would drop in power, and a little colder the engine would idle at full power, and a little more it would stop. But a stalled engine would start at full power if let to sit for awhile. You can see the same phenomenon inside gasoline engines, as once the engine warms up, the intake valve area promotes inefficient red flame while the rest on the flame approaches whitish blue. The reason the giant ship engines stall is that the piston was still hot, and remained hot while the cooling jackets grew cold. But once the engine temp grew more uniform, just like a modern diesel as long as the engine hit a few times, then the engine can make full power. The Shell Microjoule go kart tunes the temp differentiation between intake (coldest in motor) and exhaust (hottest in motor) vales in the little 4 stroke engine it uses, and it hit 11,200 miles per gallon on regular gasoline. Fun stuff. General, if those two bombs yesterday had been out of Newark, then it would have been a turning point in the war-you see it would mark the point where strategists for the 2nd US Civil War would be spending more time deceiving the enemy than killing the enemy. Tricked into depending upon the element of surprise, it would mean that strategists that lost men to prisons would be losing the war,-and that the enemy would win the United States. Good thing Olga and meself live in the Soviet Union, but dont propagate the systems. Your losing slow with overt killing-youd have lost in an afternoon if sabotaged planes were coming form Newark early this weekend. Get you men off the deception addiction, it kills and loses wars. Love you man. https://youtube/watch?v=a_C-QyKVFfc
