I was reminded yesterday of my Moms extreme fear of snakes. Lizards, on the other hand, were a welcome sight to her as they ate roaches, of which there were plenty in Hawaii and California. One day I brought a small reptile into the house and showed her its little head sticking out of my hand. She gave it a pet across the head between the eyes commenting on how cute it was. That is until my long sleeve pulled up a bit and she realized it was coiled up my arm to the elbow. Mom simply screamed like a banshee, opened the door and shoved me out, locking it behind me. I wasnt allowed back in the house until supper and only then, when I showed her I was no longer in possession of the snake. Have A Daybreak Day!
