I was researching local obedience trainers for this area and was shocked to find that so many of them have strict contracts/multiple pages of rules regarding what type of equipment can be used, what type of training, etc. I found this very odd as I think that trainers should work with owners and their dogs to find what works best for them rather than impose general rules on everyone. Is anyone else experiencing this kind of phenomenon? Admittedly, my youngest dog is 7 so its been some time since I have sought any formal training....its just changed so much! If you know of any good directories of obedience trainers that have state searches let me know, Ive looked into yelp, breed club links and general internet searches :)
