I was ringing up a woman today and she saw my necklace and she held it (Seriously, she leaned over the counter to hold onto it -.-) and said: Oh! What a beautiful necklace! Wherever did you find it? I told her that my friend had gotten it for me from SeaWorld about two years ago. Her face then turned grim and said: Your friend supports that vile, disgusting (I was shocked she knew such big words) place where theyre holding all those beautiful animals captive. How could he/she? Has your friend not seen Blackfish? I gave her a blank stare before replying: You do know that most of them would die if they were released into the wild, right? Their caregivers love them just like they do their children and they make sure that theyre properly cared for and never mistreated. Blackfish is nothing but a huge lie. She frowned and waved her hand. You must not be an animal lover. You support them as well? As Im sure you also support Busch Gardens. I gave her the brightest smile and said in my natural, chipper voice: Yes maam, I do! I love me some Naughty Nurses and mad scientists! And shockingly, she actually chuckled. I bid her a good day and she went off on her merry way with, hopefully, no hard feelings. #isupportseaworld & #isupportbuschgardens
