I was sad yesterday to wake up to the news of Andrae Crouchs passing. There were a mix of emotions actually. Its sad to see another legend go and to think of the deep sadness his family and close friends must feel, yet part of me felt hes probably so happy being at rest now. After his decades of hard work in Gospel music, the years of illness and the hard fight he fought through all of it, he gets to spend the rest of his journey with the one he did it all for… Pretty amazing. Almost equally as amazing is the catalogue of songs that he leaves behind that have been touching peoples lives for years and years. Even up till last week we were singing one of his songs at church! So many truths wrapped up in such beautiful melodies. Thank you Andrae for gracing the world with your gift. Heres one of my all time favourite Andrae Crouch songs.
