I was sitting and thinking earlier. Recall when the Israelites - TopicsExpress

I was sitting and thinking earlier. Recall when the Israelites were led out of Egypt and were in the desert. Now, they were FREE but mad as hell, grumbling, complaining, and angry with Moses. They even had the audacity to say that that would rather be in Egypt where they got good food because the manna was not enough for them. OK. I knew someone who was very comfortable on a job making good money but was enslaved amongst a brood of viper in a pit of evil and ignorance that was taking them down the wrong course towards apathy, indifference, and a world void of the purpose God had for them. When Moses led them out of their Egypt, they had to prioritize their spending to insure the bills were paid first and then see what was left. They were in the desert and it wasnt always comfortable. They didnt have that corner office with the plush furniture and newest computer anymore. They didnt eat the lavish leftovers from the masters excess but only had the manna that God provided. BUT they were well raised and knew better than to complain. ACTUALLY. They realized it is better to be poor and happy with a chance that through the grace of God they will go to heaven than it is to be wealthy and fattened through the association of sinful, egomaniacal, hypocritical, fake, charlatans with a sure chance that they are earning a one way ticket to hell. When they actually shared their testimony and acknowledged that God is good and that God takes care of His children, just like the manna appeared daily for the Israelites in the desert, this persons needs and some of their desires seem to come to pass as God would have it for them. So...to complain when you have been DELIVERED FROM EVIL....is going against what you actually pray for when you recite the Lords Prayer. Be careful what you pray for and ask for the wisdom to see what is happening around you from a divine perspective so that you wont succumb to human tendencies to wail and moan while God is setting you up to enter THE PROMISED LAND.
