I was sitting at Whataburger with the kids yesterday. As we were stuffing our faces with various foods dipped in cups of fancy ketchup, Paulette began to show me how she could pick up fries equally well with both her right and left hand. I casually commented that she must be ambidextrous. Brayden was intrigued and immediately asked what in the world that word meant. I explained that it meant a person could do things equally well with both hands. Well, he knew right away that he was indeed ambidextrous and he set out to prove it. "Look, Daddy. I can pick up my drink with either hand!" He gripped his tiny Spite with his left hand, held it proudly in the air for a moment, and then sat the drink back down. After briefly pausing for a moment to bask in his own glory, he looked at Paulette and said, "See, I told you I was ambidextrous!" He then picked up the Sprite with his right hand this time ... as he brought the drink closer to his proud lips, his ambidextrous right hand gave way and he splashed lemon lime beverage on everyone within a 17 feet radius. How the mighty little proud men have fallen ...
