I was sitting back today and thought about giving thanks. So here is my take. Part #1 of 2 Deb Dutra - Best damn female cop I have ever been around. Knew her stuff, tuff as hell, but has the warmest heart ever. She rode patrol with my Dad and then I had the priviledge of learning from her at a tactical school when I was working a lot of overtime with the FAST Task force on patrol. Deb Thanks for being a part of my life Larry Perea - One of the coolest LTs I ever worked for. Always had the calmest demeanor and always had your best interest at heart. LT...I learned a lot about being calm in stressfull situations...thanks for being a part of my life. Pat Higgins - From the day he responded to my Dads shots fired 11-99 call to the time he took me under his wing at bailiffs, always had much respect for him and how he looked out for me like his own son. Patrick Higgins thanks for being part of my life. Ralph Streicher - from that 13 year old little boy who you showed him the right way to today, you have never stopped teaching me what peservance is all about. You know your stuff and have the knowledge that many only dream of, I am just honored to call you my friend. Thanks for being part of my life. Bob Cramer - who wouldnt want to have a legend for a Dad? Seriously, the man has nine lives. What he instilled in me is to never promise yourself tomorrow and always live for today. Even with Mom being gone, he has continued to take my sister and I and look out for us. Many of us dream of parents like this, and I get to actually have one in my life. Thanks Dad for being a part of my life. Andrew Leca - even though we dont talk or see each other much, we still get the chance to call each other family, your a hard working man and you always pushed me to follow my dreams, which I have and continue to do. Thank you for being my uncle and part of my life. William Lam - One of the best FTOs I ever had on patrol, why? because even though we are great friends, he had no problem chewing my ass when I messed up and I always respected him for that. He was very hard on me, but I know he wanted the very best for me. His attitude to never quit or give up sure did pay off in that fight down on Royal/Sunset...Thank you for being part of my life Ronald Jackson - Better known as Action Jackson - my opposite beat partner in Castro Valley and talk about timing, he rode patrol with my Dad...do you feel old Action? But one of the best cops I ever rode patrol with. Dude could make any situation melt away. Thank you for being part of my life Gary Cunningham - Want to know how to be better? Just have Gary be your mentor and FTO. Gary made sure from day one, I molded myself to hit the streets and do so safely. He means the world to me because he never gave up on me when others did. I love you for that and always will. Thanks for being a part of my life Doug Peterson - We had great times at Santa Rita and Raiders games tuning the poor folks up! But I could rely on you for anything and always knew you had my back. Love you bro. Thanks for being a part of my life. Lisa Rosales - Hands down the hottest LT I ever worked for, glad I can say that without getting into an IA Now! But all seriousness, you kept your people happy, you were sharp as hell and you didnt take any BS. I respect that about you and am proud to have worked for you.
