I was so happy to finally have some major blood work done. (First time in 5 years...) I was even happier when I was told my cholesterol is within a safe/normal range, my sugar was a bit on the LOW side, my iron levels were great, and blood count was great too. Today I got a call that my vitamin D results are not so good - in fact I now have to take prescription Vitamin D at 50,000 IU a week for some time! Didnt realize how important this vitamin is until I read up on it. Vitamin D can also be obtained from the sun. Gee, I dont suppose my insurance would think sending me to a SUNNY tropical island for a couple of weeks would be a good idea?
