I was so pissed when they changed the facade of the signs, this began back in 2005 when Hopkins decided to buy the company. so for some dumb ass reason they felt they needed to change the iconic sign from what it original was. Thats when I knew the mall went down hill at that point! Back in 1995, Eastpoint mall was LILLY WHITE! only black owned store I knew of was Wilsons Leather by the time the early 2000s hit you started to see a demographic change! more black owned stores, Ames closed, Value City closed in 2009 and then by 2010, you started seeing trailer trash whites start coming out there, and highlandtown mexicans buying up all the commercial property. Eastpoint is the new Mondawmin!
