I was standing in line at the store and had the most disappointing privilege of overhearing a woman complain about how she DESERVES more from our government. In her short 3minute rant, she went over all the reasons why this government OWES her a house, money, medicine and a vacation! -_- The reason why socialism is not ideal is because it kills the spirit of man. Initiative, creativity, hard work, motivation, entrepreneurship and passion is lost. Slowly each of these God given traits are replaced with a sense of entitlement, laziness, bitterness, mediocrity and complacency. We live in a society full of grown up brats. People have redefined what it means to be an American. Listen up! You dont have the RIGHT to own a house. You dont have the RIGHT to have a job. You dont have the RIGHT to have succes. This is where we get confused. As Americans, you have the right to have the OPPORTUNITY. You have the right to be treated like a human being. To be respected and treated fairly. But in the end, you have the RESPONSIBILITY to seize the opportunities that present themselves. It will take hard work. It will be uncomfortable. It will be difficult. But it will be EARNED.
