I was standing in line purchasing pickles and peanut butter when an elderly woman in front of me insisted that I went first. After saying Oh no, its fine, I can wait she nudged me and said You only have a couple of items, go ahead, so I got in front of her and saw how loaded her cart was and offered to help unload her items on the belt. Thats so sweet of you I then told her good deed for good deed, you helped me and I help you. As the guy in front of me was paying, the cashier said he was short $0.15 cents so he dug in his wallet for 5 seconds and then whipped out his ATM card, I had extra coins so I handed him some change and he thanked me as well as the cashier. When my order rang up, the total came out to be $8.78 and I had $8.72 in hand and said Oh dang, I might have needed that haha and then the cashier immediately said without hesitant No, no dont even worry about it, I can cover the rest at that point it just felt like a great warmth feeling that everyone was willing to give a little, whether it was money or time. I dug around my bag before leaving and found exactly the $0.06 cents I was short and handed her the change. She thanked me and said that was really nice what you did earlier, youre really sweet Later, I discovered that I had about 10 $1 bills hidden in a pocket and Im glad I didnt find it while waiting in line because I wouldnt have experienced another good deed in return from the cashier. Moral of the story: Be kind to others, it will pay off. Good karma! Story totally relates to the video below.
