I was, still am, talking with a friend. When I wrote this. It is (HRT) a huge impact on your body. As much research as I have done I still did not fully understand what happens. I am happy, very happy. More than I have been all my life. But as big as the changes in your body are. They are least of the changes. A lot changes in your thinking and in how people treat you too. They (people) may not be mad at you for being trans but women are treated very differently to men and that is something I didnt begin to understand. It is a very sad indictment on a culture the male gender, will treat the female gender so differently to how it treats itself. And I am finding that out every day. I can see it in the nondescript bullying. That sort of intimidation that can be felt even behind a smiling face. The readiness of men to raise their voice because the woman isnt just nodding her head in agreement. It is the powerful male exerting pressure through sarcasm and belittling comments that have opened my eyes to a little of how really shittily men treat women. I had no idea how great the gender divide was until I crossed over to the other side and found myself the brunt of a mans power. Its scary for me and I still cant fully understand what it must be like to grow up under that sort of domination.
