It is unedited and copyrighted. ********** I was petrified when the day finally came for my doctor’s appointment so I asked my mom to go with me. When we arrived, the receptionist sent me straight to the lab where they drew some blood and asked me to pee in a cup. Afterwards I sat with my mom in the waiting room and fidgeted like crazy until she reached out and began rubbing my back to help me relax. “Zoey, calm down, everything will be fine.” I sure hoped she was right. Finally, the nurse called me back. We stopped at the scale to get my weight.
