I was tagged by Ryan Field to list books that have influenced my life. The idea is to post in your status 10 books that have stayed with you. They dont have to be great works, just books that touched you/stayed with you. Tag 10 friends including me so I can see what you wrote. (in no particular order here goes) 1. To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee; still one of my all time favorite novels 2. The Hardy Boys mysteries by Franklin W Dixon; these books helped to influence my desire to write stories. 3. That Was Then, This Is Now & The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton - perhaps the most influential novels of my early teen years as I easily identified with the characters lives. 4. The Excorcist by William Peter Batty; I wasnt supposed to read this book at age thirteen, but all the kids in high school were sharing a copy around - scared the hell out of me and I couldnt look at myself in the mirror for weeks after! 5. The Shining by Stephen King; my favorite horror/mystery novel of all time. 6. Good Times/Bad Times by James Kirkwood; reading this homoerotic novel as a teenager helped me to realize loving my best friend could be normal. 7. The Front Runner by Patricia Nell Warren; the very first gay novel I read to convince me to write about what I knew well; being gay and gay characters in stories. 8. Sphere & Congo by Michael Crichton; my two most favorite sci-fi novels. 9. The Little Death and all subsequent novels by Michael Nava, Writer; these series of novels aspired me to become a gay mystery novelist. 10. The Firm by John Grisham; the only novel Ive read and re-read more than ten times - and could still read again. (hated the movie!) So, I am tagging Alex Morgan, Jp Bowie, Max Vos, Mark Mark Zubro, Rick R. Reed, Cassi Reed, Tom Webb, Mark Abramson, Lori L. Lake and Andi Marquette. Enjoy!!
