I was talking about the invasive introduced Carp on another forum - TopicsExpress

I was talking about the invasive introduced Carp on another forum last night it seams odd to me more people do not utilize this resource. It always brings out some interesting discussions. At the end of the day it is the most commonly farmed fish for human consumption and, other than being massively bony, if you make no effort in preperation, they are dead easy to catch, humanely dispatch and doing so can only be good for our waterways. I have never eaten one and thought they taste like mud but I catch them in clear running streams and lakes, not muddy rivers. Here is a good video on the subject https://youtube/watch?v=0Gi0dYjbrJs and I will attach a few of my pictures, lets here your stories, do you eat carp when foraging? do you have a favourite recipe? Smoked, fried, boiled poached, how are they best done in your opinion?
