I was talking to my coach today about my tendency to goo 100 mph or completely breakdown and come to a halt. I shared that I was tired, my body hurt but I went to the gym anyway because I said I would. I decided to workout more gently and not create a real problem by abusing my body. Im turning 60 soon....I want to learn to live life at 60 mph more of the time and enjoy the moments off 100 mph. It feels so good to keep my commitments to myself. Im trying to live in an excuse-free zone in all areas, but focused very much on staying healthy in the aging process. Each day I will say: Doing something is better than nothing. My coach also reminded me about the 80/20 rule (which I am aware of.) Perfection has its gifts: I give things my all, my work is well done etc.. Perfection becomes shame when you beat yourself up because you fell off the horse. So, Ill have my human moments and focus on being a little better everyday....putting one foot in front of the other and moving in the direction of the vision for my life and my body! Mothers Day....a day off from the gym, but maybe a walk by the ocean. Food....hmmmm.....many good choices and all have healthy tasty options. Bye for now!
