I was talking with Mom last night (in Louisville) and once again she was telling me about going to a church picnic and how fabulous the food was. Fried chicken, buttered noodles, green beans that had been cooked all day, apple pie, etc. I went to my first church picnic a few weeks ago up here, and I was so disappointed. They had fish sticks and chicken tenders with fries. No homemade food. :( So, can anybody tell me the best church picnics up here that have real homemade dinners, with all the country fixins?
