I was talking with a friend on the phone, when all of a sudden I saw in my spirit, David sitting in a field with sheep. It was a dark blue landscape, stars in the sky, and light from the moon highlighting rocks and the wool of the sheep. God said solitude is not rejection, its preparation for leadership. Its true, David was rejected and spent a lot of time alone, but it was all by Gods design. God was making him into a king. A king that could hear His voice and would obey him, not men. A man after gods own heart, a giant slayer. A nation saver. A man that could encourage himself in God when all his men had turned against him. Being a shepherd was an outcast position in Davids day. Shepherds didnt get to take showers and they were around dirty sheep constantly. They were rejected and looked down on by the ritualistic Jews. It was a position of humility. Then, I saw Joseph chained in a brown dirt prison, a light ray coming from the window above. He was looking towards the light, and I could see it lighting up the iris of his brown eye. Josephs mother was favored by his father, and Joseph was too...so his half brothers hated him. He shared a dream and his brothers threw him into a pit, then sold him into slavery. Once there, he was put into prison--place of solitude. There he helped others get free, and asked them to not forget him, yet they did. He was being prepared to lead; to carry compassion, and to set others free. I can imagine Joseph cried a lot in that prison cell. God was working compassion in him so he would love his brothers and not have them killed. I imagine he got angry too, about the injustice. God was giving him the ability to know injustice so he could discern right from wrong. In that place of solitude, God was perfecting his gift, so that one day he would interpret the Kings dream and save Egypt, and Israel...even his own brothers that had rejected, hated, and sold him. Solitude is training for leading. Thats where you learn to hear Him, so you can be led. Its how you become a leader. Youve heard the saying, its lonely at the top. In the kingdom, its a low place...a place of serving, but its still the plight of leadership. Loneliness. Jesus was king of kings, and he had no place to lay His head. Rejection, and hatred, is preparation for carrying acceptance and love. If you want to reconcile people to God; Love others into the kingdom; Carry His message; then learn to embrace rejection...its just preparation to carry Grace. The colors in both of the visions I saw were so prominent. So I asked God about it and I believe he showed me the dark blue of the night scene was representing deep revelation. And the brown of the prison and in Josephs eye represented compassion. Eyes of love to see people beyond the visible.
