I was thinking about life, and challenges I have overcome so I decided to post one, just to remind people who are struggling to never give up. I left West Virginia the day I graduated high school, I was 18, had my own apartment and supported myself. I left WV in June and in October I had a car accident that totaled my car, It just had liability on it so I got nothing. I had nobody to go to for help cash wise to help me get another car, my parents was out of state and couldnt help me because my dad had lost his job in the coal mines. My job was over 5 miles from my house and I had no way to work and home every day so I walked, I got up 4 hours early walked to work then worked and walked home. I walked almost a year until I could save enough money to buy a $1,000 stick shift car that I did not even know how to drive, but luckily I had a good teacher and learned quick. I would put my work clothes in a garbage bag when it rained and was soaking wet by the time I got to work and changed, I think I walked all 4 seasons, the worst memory was the time I tried to walk down the side of the interstate in the summer because I thought it would be quicker and about half way home the heat from the pavement almost made me pass out, oh yeh, and someone tried to rob me too during that time but guess what, waste of time because I had nothing for them to take, lol. Even through my darkest challenges, I smiled, tried to be happy, and kept going. Some people will never know what struggle is, they have everything handed to them, gave to them, or was born with enough to never have to worry. If you are someone like me who fights to keep things going most of the time, just remember, you can make it through it, one way or the other and never give up.
