I was thinking about some things the other night during the FSU - TopicsExpress

I was thinking about some things the other night during the FSU game, and later the next day while I was reading the multitude of hateful and spiteful comments about my alma mater, their players, coaches, heck the whole town. Beyond my desire to fire back with similarly vindictive jabs, of which I made a few, was frustration that anything I say about my football team is quickly twisted into a perception of blind loyalty. So I want to say this: my loyalty is not blind. I acknowledge that some or all of the allegations may be true. They may also be false. I wish everyone would stop letting a combination of media sources and their own frustrations with their team form their opinions about 18, 19, 20 year old kids. If you dont know them, or you werent there, I think people have absolutely no right to some of the hateful words they write. Likewise, I acknowledge that some FSU fans speak with the same confidence and different stance. This is also misguided. With that being said, until we move next door and have beers with any of these kids or coaches, I think their character should be left out of our conversations and posts. In my opinion.
