I was thinking about something this morning as I downloaded a book - TopicsExpress

I was thinking about something this morning as I downloaded a book to my phone to read, whenever I get a spare moment (insert LOL here). I have to say that I am incredibly proud of Badge, he and I often discuss the quality of reading a "real" book versus an e-book. So for him to venture into techno land again, is an accomplishment and kind of brave. I spent years being old school and I still enjoy the sensation of holding a book in my hand and turning the pages, absorbing the feeling of reading. However, I have also learned the convenience of using an e-reader. There are two primary reasons I use one: 1. The amount of books I can load into one is just insane. For a book hound, being able to say that they have 2000 books on one device is as good as it gets for an addict. And you can hold a lot more than that on the new ones. 2. I read a lot of self-published or fan published material. And using a software like Flag to download this material to an e-reader is wonderful and oh so easy. I have almost as many of these pieces, as I do books with published covers. E-readers have come a long way from the first devices like the Apple Newton (which was really just a tablet to take notes on). My Kindle recently died and since I work for Apple, it is pretty obvious that I will more than likely invest in a new iPad, the only decision to make at this time, is what size. 32GB or 64GB OR 128GB... ~nikki
