I was thinking bout how many people want to go to church on Easter or get invited on Easter only to not go because they have nothing to wear. And I thought how sad that we have made it such a huge part of Easter Sunday tradition to get new fancy things. Now I grew up not going to church ever except an occasional Easter and we all got new fancy clothes. So I get the peer pressure. Now for most people that go to church you should already have appropriate church clothes because we should always want our best to go to the Lords House, so it just seems that on the day where Jesus was so humbly hung on the cross only to rise again, that what we wear should not be the focus. So if you want to go to church to recognize Jesus then please dont let the families that stroll in with all their children dressed like a million dollars from head to toe keep you at home. Theyve come to impress, you should come to be blessed! God knows each and every persons heart, so go to church and be blessed. And for the record, we dont get new clothes for Easter.
