I was thinking how happy we are that the storm is here today. We have prayed for rain. How happy we should be when the storms of life assail us......but as humans most times we are not. We view it as pain and many times it is not easy. Well.... not having storms is not one of Gods promises! In fact just as it is needed in nature it is purposeful in life. James 1.2-4 2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. When we can ride the storm we can be assured and let it do its work so that it perfects, completes, and provides for you in your spirit man and natural circumstances because Gods word says: Romans 8.28 28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. (my friend if your alive and believe in God you got purpose!) What the word does tell us is that: Isaiah 25:4 (NKJV) For You have been a strength to the poor, A strength to the needy in his distress, A refuge from the storm, A shade from the heat; For the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall. He said he will be our strength when we have natural need or are distressed. He will be your strength when we are weak, humble, and serious about him. He will shelter you from inward decay and outward assaults. He is sufficient protection in all weathers. It may bend trees but it blasts against the wall. 2 Corinthians 2.7 7 by the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, Whatever dangers or troubles we can have faith that care is taken that we will be sustained. Through his Word, truth, Power and... DONT EVER FORGET: That we have the shield of Faith. Keep that shield around you and put on the whole ARMOR OF GOD. Ephesians 6.14-18 14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—
