I was thinking od Macs Market in Hermosa. It wasnt a very big grocery store, but It was geared to the working class people of Hermosa and beyond, Mac operated a first class meat counter that sold premium meats, there was a bakery with fresh daily goods including cherry and apple turnovers. The Deli was to die for, a variety of Sliced cold cuts and cheeses, cold salads and for lunch they served the best and biggest sandwiches in the four corners area, of course, on freah baked bread. and if you really wanted a fabulous sandwich, you ordered the Corned Beef or Pastrami. Mac made all of the Corned beef and Pastrami on site ,and it was heavenly. In fact everything about Macs Market was heavenly, He graciously extended credit to anyone who need it. and he never put a delinquent customer on the spot. he was all about being a friend and neighbor, (Mac bought the market from Hermosas most famous neighbor, Al Cometti, but thats another story in itself).
