I was thinking thismorning about discipline.. How discipline makes you think and sometimes even fight with yourself. The thing is discipline is a very important factor in lots of areas in our lives. Basically if you want to get anywhere you have to have some form of discipline in one way or another. Whether it be discipline to not spend as much money so you can purchase something like a house, switching off the tv and heading to bed early to read a book youve been wanting to finish, making the time to play an instrument on a daily basis to learn it or getting off facebook and doing a workout ;) What I have discovered about discipline is this. it is not a rude word! lol! It shouldnt be something you cringe at when you hear it. It keeps you in line, it is that little voice in the back of your head you wanted to get xyz done today you better get off facebook and do it you said you were getting up to train at 6 today its now 6.15 get up Discipline in my books is my friend, he keeps me on track and keeps helping me to achieve my goals. We have way too many distractions these days that are classed as normal distractions. Its not uncommon for someone to be on FB for atleast 2 hours a day unproductively scrolling their news feed. This is where Mr Discipline comes into play. You set a goal for yourself then you decide what you want more, scrolling your news feed or the goal you want to achieve. If I didnt have discipline in my daily life I would have a credit card with $20,000 debt on it, Id have a stomach the size of a large watermelon, my house would be a filthy mess and Id be sitting here depressed wandering why. If you spend 2 hours a day or even 30 mins a day being unproductive imagine what you could do in that time? Just some food for thought, especially for people who tell me all the time that they dont have the time to exercise. Amanda :)
