I was told something very interesting today by my pain management dr...that when someone is prescribed painkillers (Norco, etc.) and the doc runs a drug screening test, its not always about testing for abuse...its also testing to make sure you ARE using the medication as prescribed!! Because - and think about it - if youre prescribed a months worth of meds, and then come back for another prescription because youre out...and you test negative for any medication...then what are you DOING with the medication they have prescribed? I never thought of it THAT way!
