I was trying to find the perfect Im SO Detroit statement to post, and for A Detroit Girl like me:), I think this says it ALL!! Im SO Detroit I remember: *A church on EVERY corner and at least three in between!!! #HA!! *Midnight musicals at Baileys Cathedral! *Three Day Shut-Ins and Dry Fasts! #HA!!!#Smh! *Watching Deitrick Haddon and Fred Hammond in street concerts on Greenfield and at Straight Gate Church! *FAYGO RED POP!!!!!!! (SOOOO Good!!!::))#♡♡♡♡ *The Better Made Potato Chip Factory and ALL flavors of Better Made Potato Chips (ESPECIALLY) Salt&Vinegar!!! *HUGE Dill Pickles in a jar on the counter at the corner store!! *Catching the D.O.T city bus EVERYWHERE inside the Eight Mile Rd. line!!:) *Catching the SEMPTA aka SMART bus to go OUTSIDE the Eight Mile Rd. line!!##HA!! *Max Julian and Sheep skin coats with the matching hats!! *Name plate belt buckles and Guess Jean Jumpsuits aka Overalls worn with one strap hanging down!! *Metal detectors at Northland Skating Rink!! (*yikes!*):) *Eastland AND Fairlane Malls setting a 8 pm curfew for folk under 18 yrs old! #smh *Mayor Coleman A Young! *East Grand Boulevard COGIC!! (my very FIRST experience outside the Baptist church!) *Riding the Boblo Island boat to the Boblo Island Amusement Park! *Riding through the Windsor Tunnel, seeing the cracks in the walls with water coming through and just PRAYING the walls would hold!!#HA!!!#LOL!!! *Mr. Fofos ONE POUND Corned Beef sandwiches AND HUNK SLICE of Red-Velvet Cake....and Faygo Red Pop of course!!::)) *John Willis playing the organ, Sam Brice playing the drums and EVERYBODY (even the babies) at Miracle Temple COD - shoutin up a storm!:) #OHBLESSHIM!#♡ The last one looked a little something like this: Thanks Eugenia Willis!::)#♡
