I was very fortunate to have watched all the live news coverage as it unfolded on that day. I saw everything immediately following the first tower strike. I heard all the running commentary. In fact, it is one of my most indelible memories. I pray today for those souls who perished and just as importantly, those souls who survived, and the families who tasted the bitter blood of the cross. I pray that their hearts and tongues are no longer bitter with the taste of loss and that they unite their sufferings with those of Christ on the Cross. Eternal Father, we offer You the most precious Body & Blood, Soul & Divinity of Your dearly beloved Son, our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world. For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us, and on the whole world.
