I was very happy this morning to wake to the news that Art on the Ave, Tacoma WA won Readers Choice for Best Street Fair in this years Weekly Volcano Best in Tacoma issue! And of course it was also nice to see the readers voted me personally as the Best Art Scene MVP. I was never really good at sports so this title is a particularly special honor for me. LOL. Also, Tacoma ART BUS sponsor Puget Sound Pizza won for Best Pizza! But of course all of the ART BUS regulars knew that already, right? :) We are honored to be serving Tacomas best pizza for free to our passengers every third Thursday. I was also pleased to see that ART BUS Assistant Producer Jackie Casellas new project Creative Colloquy was voted Best Literary Night! For passion projects like these, its very validating to receive honors like this. In the day to day grind of it all, its sometimes hard to tell if our efforts are making a difference. Thank you for noticing and for voting for us. :)
