I was very upset when this happened. Llong fought hard and deserved better but died of stress from going from proud and free to exhausted, humiliated tourist attraction and very poorly taken care of. He was captured without being harmed after being accused of eating a few people without evidence, including the ranger who went after him. It was a crocodile infested swamp and the victims vanished over several years. The chances of it being the same crocodile are very low. In addition, crocs are just as dangerous before they have tasted human as after. Unlike sharks they arent picky eaters and will attack anything if they are hungry. These fishermen in that river dive in a giant crocodile infested swamp very little is known about to the bottom and attach wooden cages. While I admire their courage and dedication to their families they can not expect to not eventually run out of luck. The crocodiles should not suffer for that.
