I was watching Cesar Milan yesterday and let me tell you the guy is nuts. He referred to a dog as somebody and needing to have a voice. A dog is not a person so can not be referred to as somebody. It was disgusting to me. And for all of the fighting they do to save a dangerous dog, we can’t forget, ever, that the children that pit bulls killed could have gone on to do great things. They had a life to live, they had a world to help save, they had diseases they might have cured, and discoveries that they could have made. The pit bull that killed them would always be just a pit bull. When put in that perspective, of a life never realized, it’s pretty obvious that saving a pit bull pales in comparison to saving children’s lives. Pit bulls will NEVER become a doctor, they will NEVER cure a disease, they will NEVER speak or have intelligent thought. Comparing racism to pit bulls is so degrading its not even funny. Thats how nuts pit bull owners are. Or even people who own pets can be. They are pets. Their life does not trump that of a person. BSL doesnt mean to kill dogs, and even Cesar admitted the backyard breeding was hurting this dog. And want to know who is supporting the backyard breeding? Most damn pit owners thats who.
